JetBook question
|
|
|
What a great device this is I really hope the battery can be replaced easily because mine needs charging every night.
My question, I converted my memory card to ntfs from fat32 and now the jetbook reads it as folder" sd1" and will not list the books/folders on the card. The memory card is completely full and never gave me any problems in fat32 although the access times were quite slow turning pages.

Dear customer
MMC card should be FAT formatted.
Otherwise it won't be recognized.

Another issue I have is I turn it off holding the button down for a 3 seconds, but after a while the screen goes black/pixelated like its on so I have to turn it on and turn it off again. Is there going to be a fix for this because I've heard of it happening to two others?

What I mean above is it only goes into standby mode, I can't get it to turn off even with holding the button for 3 seconds unless I reset it. This is really starting to annoy me.

Also I don't have "start up screen" and "shut down screen" options in my user menu, could this be why my jetbook is not shuting down completely?

The unit doesn't switch off. It goes to the stand by mode only.

So is it okay that after the device has been off for a while the screen goes black and you have to turn it on then off to clear it? Is it supposed to do this?
Sorry for all the questions anyway.

Power Issue

I have had similar problems with powering on the unit. Twice I tried powering on the unit and the power led would flash but the jet book would not come on. I pressed the power button numerous times and held it three seconds but the screen would not display anything. The only way I could get it back was plug in the charger, hit the on switch and hit reset. I tried to hit the on switch and the reset at the same time without the charger plugged in but it would not work. This will be a bummer if it happens again and I am not around an outlet.

I think this is because it comes on partially whilst in it's case and thus the charge of the battery is diminished resulting in inability to turn it on. I don't know why they took away the shut down function because that would have saved a fair amount of battery charge.
